In their action, they demanded an end to the entry of imported waste entering Indonesia. They carried banners complete with the words #StopMakanPlastik, Imported Trash Kills the River in island of Java and activists also showed examples of imported plastic waste.

They also demanded the government to take firm action against companies that pollute by dumping waste from processed imported waste into a number of large rivers in Java, such as Brantas, Bengawan Solo, Citarum, and Ciujung for damaging the local ecosystem and disturbing the comfort of the surrounding community.
